BRUCE FEFFER (ACRES Legal Advisor)
Bruce Feffer has been a lawyer in New York City for more than thirty years. His clients include real estate developers, construction firms, property management companies, co-op corporations, condominium associations, and residential and commercial building owners and tenants. He has also represented hundreds of clients in buying and selling all types of properties, including condominiums, houses, factories, warehouses and office buildings. He was part of the legal team that assisted a Hong Kong corporation in the purchase of a 65-story (one million square feet) office tower on Wall Street in New York City. He is a long time Professional Member of the New York Council of Cooperatives and Condominiums. Mr. Feffer also serves as legal counsel to private corporations and Not-for-Profit organizations. He handles various forms of commercial transactions and advises his clients on corporate governance and operations.
Bruce Feffer has devoted his entire career to working with Chinese clients, including clients from China, Hong Kong and the Chinese-American community. Mr. Feffer serves on the Board of the New York Chapter of the Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA), and is the Legal Advisor to the American Chinese Real Estate Society (ACRES) and Asian Americans for Equality (AAFE), as well as the Continental Garment Manufacturers Association, an organization of Chinese owned clothing manufacturers in New York City. He was recently a guest speaker at a conference sponsored by the Urban Chinese Network, an organization of Chinese professionals dedicated to planning environmentally safe and sustainable cities. Bruce Feffer is a graduate of New York University and Brooklyn Law School.
Henry Mo Ph.D. (Market Advisor)
Dr. Mo is a managing director and the chief economist at AIG. In this role, he is responsible for providing macroeconomic projections and international residential and commercial real estate forecasts for the firm’s asset management (+$350bn AUM) and insurance businesses. Dr. Mo’s forecasts are widely used for the firm’s budgeting, the Fed’s and internal stress testing, valuation of structural real estate products and risk management. He is also a voting member of the firm’s sovereign risk review committee, which decides the size of AIG exposure in each country. Dr. Mo joined AIG December 2013.
Previously, Dr. Mo worked as a director and senior economist in the Economics Research team at Credit Suisse. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Dr. Mo worked as a research assistant at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER). Dr. Mo has also done executive teaching at a number of institutions based in China, including Tsinghua PBC School of Finance, the DPS program jointly developed by Beijing University and Fordham University, Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance, Cheung Kung Graduate School of Business and Zhongshan University, etc. Dr. Mo has published in top-tier academic journals and has regularly presented at academic, regulatory, and industrial conferences. His research work was regularly quoted by the world’s leading financial media.
Dr. Mo received both his MPhil and PhD in Economics from the Graduate School and University Center, City University of New York and BS in Electronics and Information System from Zhongshan University. He also studied in the Mathematics in Finance Program at New York University and in the Economics Program at the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, respectively. Dr. Mo is a CFA charter holder as well as a senior advisor for the CFA program at China Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. He is also a member of Council for Asset and Investment Management at The Institute of International Finance (IIF), The Economic Club of New Work and a Board member of The Chinese Finance Association (TCFA).
