The 3/22/2014 event was held at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM), one of the most prestigious architecture firms in the world. It was a great opportunity to have an in-depth conversation with Junfeng Wang, Qiyao Li, Wenny Hsu and Zheng Huang, experienced architects at SOM on their projects. 19 members joined the tour following the presentation and participated the discussion.
We would like to give special thanks to our friend Bowen Qiu, who is heading to Shanghai for a new journey soon but still made this event possible within a short notice of time. We wish him all the best in following his true passion, no matter it’s Shanghai or somewhere else.
SOM is responsible for the design and construction of America’s tallest building, including the 109-story Sears Tower in Chicago, the World Trade Center 1 and 7 for Silverstein and China World Trade Center Tower 3 (国贸三期) in Beijing.
